Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults. PAL Inc. and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.
We are looking for a temporary part-time SYEP Intake Coordinator who will be under the direction and supervision of the Program Coordinator.
The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for collecting, reviewing and assisting participants with the completion of the SYEP application process at the intake site. Intake coordinators will be responsible for the pre-monitoring of all prospective SYEP worksites and complete all necessary pre-monitoring reports. He/She must act as a liaison between PAL, its worksites, and the SYEP applicants. The Intake Coordinators will assist in the enrollment process, keep accurate data, maintain folders and contact participants via phone in reference to documents, job selection, and enrollments. Some workshop facilitation experience is preferred as the Intake Coordinator will conduct workshops to groups of participants. One Intake Coordinator can transition into a data entry clerk during the enrollment process of the program. Some SYEP experience is a plus.
Time Period: End of January thru June, this position can transition into other available positions for the period
