Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults. PAL Inc. and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.
We are looking for a College Prep Advocate (CPA) who will be responsible for providing daily structure to PAL’s Instep Program. The InStep program is an academic/workforce development program that supports teenagers on their path to high school graduation and college enrollment. In addition, an employment component gives students an introduction to the workforce arena through paid internships. Knowledge of project-based learning, community service and volunteer work necessary. The CPA must be well organized and proficient in reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Weekly group workshop facilitation as well as individual case management required.
Positions are 20-22 hours per week with openings in The Bronx or Queens.
