Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults. PAL Inc. and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.
We are looking for a part-time College Access Advocate who will be responsible for overseeing a caseload of approximately 12 high school juniors or seniors enrolled in PAL’s College Access Program (CAP). CAP supports teenagers on their path to high school graduation and college enrollment. Advocates will be responsible for working with each student to ensure that students are consistently working towards achieving the goals that they have set for themselves. Advocates will also be responsible for facilitating weekly group workshops with the students.
Positions are 15 - 20 hours per week during after-school hours with openings in the Fordham section of The Bronx.
